Similar to white agricole rums, Clairin is the most popular drink in the remotest regions of Haiti. This is a blend of the four Clairins from the four communes of Cavaillon, Barraderes, Pignon and St Michel de l’Attalaye.
Nose: Tangy, zesty papaya and citrus, with a hint of fresh blossom wafting in, lending a floral, grassy fragrance to it.
Palate: Some tropical fruit juice sharpness, alongside herbaceous hints of lemongrass and caraway.
Finish: A touch of savoury, salty air appears later on.
